Scholarship Foundation

The scholarship fund is based on a rich scholastic tradition which has been the cornerstone of the Miss America program since 1945. Today, educational advancement, achievement, and public services continue to be the primary objectives for both the Miss America and Miss Klamath County-Miss City of Sunshine Organizations in the face of changing roles for women in American society.

In 2008, the Miss Klamath County-Miss City of Sunshine Organization provided over $22,000.00 in cash and in-kind scholarships. Scholarship funds are contributed by corporate sponsors, service organizations, institutions of higher education and individuals who commit their support to the professional advancement of our contestants. There are many levels of participation available to anyone who wishes to support the scholarship fund. For more information on scholarship fund donations, contact our Executive Director.

Our corporate sponsors and benefactors are the lifeblood of this organization and make this program possible.  Although it is difficult to adequately thank these sponsors and benefactors, we make every effort to do so in ways that promote their businesses to the community throughout the year.  We extend our sincerest thanks to all of our benefactors and wish to publicly acknowledge these Crown, Platinum and Gold patrons.
